What we are doing
In response to the pandemic, King Island Radio immediately implemented physical distancing and hygeine practices. The station is considered an essential service for King Island. The Station Manager is the only person authorised to enter the studio or approve any other access. The maximum number permitted in the station studio, Parenna Studio and Town Hall foyer prerecording one person per 2 square metres and where permitted gathering numbers differ, physical distancing and other safety measures will be applied. We have a COVID19 Satefy Plan as requred by Tasmanian and Federal Government Workplace legislation and guidelines.

We are broadcasting latest updates with the Mayor Julie Arnold. The Podcast is available on our facebook page and www.mixcloud.com/KingIslandRadio. Any update is after the Tasmanian State and National reports to be factual and clarify King Island impacts, local modifications (if any) and King Island Council actions and responses.
